Работа этой компании (http://www.ex-primo.com/) устроена по принципу "карусели", широко известному среди распространителей грибов-вешенок, заказов на склеивание конвертов и прочее, прочее, прочее. Сначала вам дают "заглотить наживку" в виде нескольких заказов, потом начинают рассказывать о кратковременных финансовых трудностях и предлагают взять новые заказы с частичной оплатой предыдущих. В результате долг компании переводчику копится, сколько бы он не делал дальше заказов. С заказами тоже все просто – Exprimo берет их по демпинговым ценам, ведь оплачивать работу переводчика не планируется изначально. Кстати, принципы этой компании прекрасно демонстрирует стремление все вопросы решать по телефону вместо электронной почты.

Дополнительно нужно отметить полную некомпетентность персонала. Я лично попался к ним на три заказа, один из которых мне присылали четыре раза в разных форматах, потому что никак не могли ввести результат в свою систему Memsource. Кто не знает, распространение в ней только в пределах текущего файла вместо привычной папки или проекта. Зато есть отдел качества – он обязательно выкатит вам список ошибок в виде расхождения источник-перевод при 100% совпадении, но уже по всей TM проекта, которую они создают добавлением без удаления, поэтому там накоплены все уже исправленные ошибки. На "Вышлите список только моих ошибок" следует ответ "А вы смотрите только свои" – в общем, дебилы бл.. (Лавров).

Не верьте про выплату через полгода – "карусель" обычно не дает спрыгнуть со своими деньгами.

Дополнение от ноября 2017: прислали предложение на регистрацию в их базе данных. Теперь лохи должны сами следить за публикацией для них как бы работы и заранее снижать свои тарифы, чтобы выиграть заказ, который не будет оплачен. В типовом иностранном бюро переводов поступают проще - хорошо и вовремя платят переводчикам-специалистам в своих областях техники, которые поэтому получают огромный стимул качественно и в срок выполнить заказ.

Smart type: This battery type includes a device or circuit used to monitor the battery and communicate its status to an external device. Typically, the circuit reports things such as state-of-charge, temperature or environment, health, age, serial number, model number, etc. Some can be commanded to perform certain power management tasks and include safety features such as current limits and performance thresholds. If a battery has four or more connections, there is a good chance it could be a smart battery. There is a great deal of information associated with this topic, so we will consider it in greater detail in a future post.

Internal resistance and maximum internal resistance: The internal resistance of a battery, measured in ohms, is the effective DC resistance acting in series with the voltage-generating part of the battery (for the AC resistance, see Impedance below.). The maximum specification is the worst-case internal resistance for a charge or discharge when operating the battery safely and within the manufacturer's recommendations. To measure the DC internal resistance, I use the two-tier DC-load method. Select a load resistance that will lightly load the battery, apply the load for 10 seconds, then measure the terminal voltage V1 and the current I1 with the load still connected. Then apply a higher load (lower resistance) for three seconds and measure the terminal voltage V2 and current I2. The DC internal resistance = (V1 - V2)/(I2 - I1). The two loads must be different enough to produce a very clear voltage delta while remaining inside the manufacturer's recommendations. Confidence in the number increases by making an additional measurement using another completely different resistor-pair. Note that the internal resistance (and impedance) of a battery are the primary causes of loss-of-capacity and inefficiency.

Impedance: This refers to the AC complex reactance, which is measured in ohms (for the DC resistance, see Internal resistance above). A more complete model of a battery includes inductance, capacitance, and two pure resistances. Typically, a generator that supplies 1,000 Hz is used to stimulate the battery to determine its reactance. For load currents that are continuously and quickly varying, impedance is a better measure than internal resistance (we will discuss this in more detail in a future post).

Specific energy: The energy-to-weight (or energy-to-mass) ratio measured in watt-hours per kilogram (Wh/kg) or megajoules per kilogram (MJ/kg). Also commonly (but perhaps incorrectly) referred to as energy density, this essentially defines how "strong" a battery is for its weight. Some manufacturers use a divided form of this, such as joules per gram (J/g).

Energy density: The energy-to-volume (or energy-to-size) ratio measured in watt-hours per liter (Wh/L) or megajoules per Liter [MJ/L]. This essentially defines how "strong" a battery is for its size. Some manufacturers use a divided form of this, such as joules per liter (J/L).

Energy/consumer-price: The cost of energy measured in Watt-hours per dollar Wh/$US. This allows different energy sources to be compared in terms of cost. Sometimes the ratio and units are converted and reversed, such as $US/kJ, for example.

Specific power: The power-to-weight (or power-to-mass) ratio measured in watts per kilogram (W/kg). This is not an energy specification — it refers to the battery's ability to deliver power. Higher numbers generally mean a lower internal resistance. Maximum power delivery to a load occurs when the load resistance equals the sum of the internal resistance of the battery along with the resistance of any wires and connectors; however, this condition will not be very efficient in terms of total energy delivered due to the high I2R losses.

Cell: The smallest packaged unit that produces a voltage which is characteristic of the fundamental chemical reaction. When an individual cell won't produce enough voltage, current, power, or run-time by itself, then multiple cells can be connected together to produce modules and packs. For some chemistries, OEM pack or module manufacturers are required to have training and a certification to be able to sell them. This is due to the requirements for safety, devices, circuits, and use of materials (we will discuss this in more detail in a future post).

Equivalent lithium content (ELC): Used by safety, travel, and shipping agents, this is a crude measure (in units of grams) by which lithium batteries are classified specifying how much lithium a battery contains. Eight grams of equivalent lithium content are equal to about 100 watt-hours. To find the gram content of your lithium battery, multiply the watt-hours times (8/100); thus, ELC = Wh x 0.08.

Maximum continuous discharge current: The highest current that can be safely and continuously drawn from the battery that will not substantially degrade the specified overall performance of the battery or cause damage to the battery.

Maximum discharge pulse current: The maximum current at which the battery can be discharged for pulses of up to the manufacturer's rated number of seconds, followed by the rated recovery time. This limit is usually defined by the battery manufacturer in order to prevent excessive discharge rates that would damage the battery or reduce its capacity.

Cycle durability or cycle life: The number of discharge-charge cycles the battery can experience before it fails to meet specific performance criteria. Cycle life is estimated for specific charge and discharge conditions. The actual operating life of the battery is affected by the rate and depth of the cycles and by other conditions such as temperature and humidity — the higher the depth-of-discharge, the lower the cycle life.

Charge/discharge efficiency: Specified as a percentage, this is a measure of the actual transfer of energy to the rated energy. For example, a calculation for discharges might be: (Actual-Energy/Rated-Energy) x 100.

Self-discharge rate: The percent of total capacity lost each month at no load. Slow chemical reactions that occur, even without any load, reduce the battery capacity. This is the primary reason that batteries have a limited shelf life.

Nominal cell voltage: The manufacturer's reported voltage. Usually, this is the average of the voltages as the cell discharges through its useful life.

Terminal voltage: The instantaneous voltage across the battery terminals (not across the load) with a load applied. This varies with the state of charge and discharge/charge current history and environment.

Open-circuit voltage: The voltage across the battery terminals with no load applied. The open-circuit voltage is highest with the "freshest" battery just after being charged (as appropriate) by the most optimum charging method. Some battery chemistries require a charge/discharge cycle or two to attain their peak value.

Charge voltage: The voltage that the battery is charged to when charged to full capacity (see also Charging techniques below).

Float voltage: A steady-state voltage applied to a battery after being charged to 100 percent of its state-of-charge to maintain its capacity. This is employed to compensate for self-discharge of the battery.

Cut-off voltage: The minimum allowable terminal voltage. This is the voltage that the manufacturer considers to be the empty state of the battery. Operating the battery below this value is not recommended, unless it has been designed to handle these conditions, such as deep-discharge battery types.

Charging techniques: There are multiple specifications with regard to charging rechargeable batteries, mainly based on the specific chemistry. Some are based on a simple voltage-limited, constant current technique; some employ a simple current-limited, constant voltage approach; and the rest involve combinations and twists in multiple-stage charging. This is a large topic that we will be considering in more detail in a future post.

Depth of Discharge (DOD): The amount of battery capacity that has been discharged, expressed as a percentage of maximum capacity. A discharge to at least 80% DOD is referred to as a deep discharge.

State of charge (SOC): An expression of the present battery capacity as a percentage of its maximum capacity. SOC is generally calculated by integrating the load current over time (see also "Fuel gauge or gas gauge below). Smart batteries (as discussed above) typically use this approach, which offers a more accurate technique than simply monitoring the terminal voltage alone.

Fuel gauge or gas gauge: This refers to a device or circuit and technique for measuring the continuous operation of the battery so as to determine its state of charge (SOC). The best gauges (effectively) monitor terminal voltage and current, multiply these two, integrate over time, and compare against the reference energy. Smart batteries use various tricks to produce a reasonable result (we will consider this in more detail in a future post).

Charge current (recommended): The ideal current at which the battery is initially charged (to roughly 70 percent state of charge) under a constant-current scheme before transitioning into constant-voltage charging. However, this specification may change meaning for the different charging schemes (more on this in a future post).

Time durability or service life: The length of time a battery remains serviceable and viable. During this time, rechargeable batteries can be successfully recharged, while non-rechargeable batteries have a state-of-charge above the manufacturer's specification. Part of this specification is shelf life, which is the length of time the battery can remain unused (no load) while slowly degrading its capacity via self-discharge to the manufacturer's rated percentage. In some cases, service life may be specified as an available number of charge/discharge cycles, or it may be defined as the length of time before the battery needs to be replaced in a given application. Minimum service life occurs for the harshest environments, maximum loads, and poorest recharging. Maximum service life occurs with optimum environmental conditions and lightest loads, or at the shelf life in the limit case.

General durability: Robustness against abuse from factors such as environment and electrical treatment.

Reliability and mean time between failures (MTBF): See Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics (The Statistical Treatment of Battery Failures by Jim McDowall for a good introduction to this topic.

Cold cranking amps (CCA): This is an industry rating that measures the cranking power a battery has available to start a car's cold engine. Battery Council International (BCI) defines this as "The number of amps a lead acid battery at 0 degrees F can deliver for 30 seconds and maintain at least 1.2 volts per cell."

Cranking amp (CA): Similar to cold cranking amps (as discussed above), cranking amps is a measure of the number of amps a lead acid battery at 32 degrees F can deliver for 30 seconds and maintain at least 1.2 volts per cell. (CA ratings are more commonly used in climates where temperatures rarely drop to 0 degrees F.)

Battery failure: Note that this is my own term. As far as I am concerned, a battery has failed when it can no longer perform according to the manufacturer's specifications. Furthermore, I define a catastrophic failure to mean that the battery failed prematurely, unexpectedly, and (usually) suddenly. Note that all batteries will fail, eventually. We hope that they will fail only after they have delivered an acceptable amount of energy in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. It should be noted that the terms "failure" and "catastrophic failure" mean different things to different people. Some consider catastrophic failure to mean a visible breakdown only, such as burned/discolored, mechanically-strained/misshaped, cracked, leaking, etc. (See also Depleted below.)

Dead: For rechargeable types, this doesn't mean the battery is now useless, but rather indicated that we've reached the state-of-charge where the internal resistance is at its rated maximum and/or the terminal voltage is at its rated minimum. For primary types, this is the point where the battery cannot deliver useful power in its given application. (I employ the term useless to mean the state where the open-circuit voltage of a primary battery is less than 3% of its rating.)

Depleted: The state of the battery where it has reached, or gone below, the cut-off voltage defined by the manufacturer. Continued operation past this point (without recharging) is not guaranteed. Note that this does not necessarily mean the battery has delivered all of its stored energy; for example, consider the case where it may have been shelved at no load, forever.

Fresh: This refers to a battery that has recently been manufactured. How long a battery is considered fresh is also determined by the manufacturer.

Open charge point protocol (OCPP): Defined by the Open Charge Alliance (OCA), this covers the charging of electric vehicles and is the accepted protocol and over 10,000 charging stations in 50 countries (click here for more information).

Disposal and recycling: If you are unsure how to dispose or recycle a battery, Call2Recycle.org has an online chat, phone number, and interactive map to find recycling centers local to you. (Call2Recycle.org is focused on America and Canada; if you know of similar resources in other countries, please share this information in the comments below.)

Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS): This directive, which restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, was adopted by the European Union in 2003. It subsequently took effect in the US in 2006. (See also WEEE below.)

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE): Unlike the RoHS directive, which sets restrictions on manufacturers as to the material content of new electronic equipment placed on the market, the WEEE directive sets collection, recycling and recovery targets for all types of electrical goods. (See also RoHS above.)

Capacity: The capacity of a battery is measured in amp-hours (Ah) or watt-hours (Wh). It's important to note that, while watt-hours is an energy specification, amp-hours is not a complete energy specification by itself without mention of the voltage. To create a capacity specification for a given battery, the manufacturer applies a discharge current (Id amps) until the terminal voltage drops to the cut-off-voltage and notes the time (Td hours). The capacity = Id x Td in units of amp-hours (Ah). Note that the normalization to one hour removes useful information. If, during the discharge, the voltage was measured and averaged (Vd volts), then capacity = Vd x Id x Td in units of watt-hours (Wh). Some manufacturers provide discharge curves for constant-power loads as well. Actual load currents can be defined by a generic, relative term called the C-rate, where 1C is the number of amps that will discharge the battery completely in one hour. Thus the C-rate is a measure of the rate at which a battery is discharged relative to its maximum capacity. Similarly, an E-rate describes discharge power. A 1E rate is the discharge power to discharge the entire battery in 1 hour. (We will consider more about these numbers and conversion and how they are used in a future post.)

20 сентября, «Жэньминь жибао» онлайн — В первой половине 19 сентября на конференции Computing Conference-2018 в Юньци города Ханчжоу технический директор корпорации Alibaba, директор Института DAMO Чжан Цзяньфэн сказал, что в середине следующего года будет создан первый передовой в мире нейронный чип Alibaba. Вместе с этим, в последующие два-три года будет разработан настоящий квантовый чип.

Чжан Цзяньфэн заявил, что Alibaba учредит компанию Pingtouge Semiconductor Co., Ltd., которая будет заниматься исследованием и стратегической разработкой чипов. Институт DAMO на базе новой компании создаст чиповую стратегию на основе смарт чипа и встроенного чипа AliNPU.

Стоит отметить, что название новой компании Pingtouge придумал председатель правления корпорации Alibaba Ма Юнь. Pingtouge – это другое наименование медоеда. В чем особенность медоеда? Во-первых, он обладает стойким духом, во-вторых, он изящный, однако ни чем не хуже хищников, часто способен завоевать больше с помощью меньших усилий, успешно противостоит угрозе. В-третьих, он умный и бесстрашный. Медоед очень смышлёный, умеет пользоваться орудиями, искусно замечает слабости противника, храбрый и сметливый. Одновременно с этим, это животное обладает сильными оборонительными способностями.

По прогнозу Чжан Цзяньфэня, разработанный Институтом DAMO встроенный чип серии CK902 станет первым в Китае чипом с безопасными функциями, полностью разработанный КНР.

На базе самого мощного в мире квантового электронного симулятора, Alibaba совместно с партнерами изучает разнообразные сферы применения квантовых вычислений. Чжан Цзяньфэн отметил, что Институт DAMO совсем скоро завершит строительство квантовой лаборатории, а в последующие два-три года создаст настоящий квантовый чип.

За год своего становления Институт DAMO сформировал структуру на базе искусственного интеллекта, компьютерных вычислений, роботов, финансовых технологий и кванта. Свыше 300 научных сотрудников работают в восьми исследовательских центрах института. К настоящему времени уже сформировалась сеть международного научно-технического сотрудничества DAMO, в научно-исследовательскую команду входят высшие международные структуры, в том числе Университет Цинхуа и Стэнфордский университет.

По словам Чжан Цзянфэна, в области искусственного интеллекта есть три ключевых вопроса: исчисления, данные и способности вычисления. В настоящее время Институт DAMO придает большое значение способностям вычисления на низшем уровне и обработке больших данных, создает среду цифровизации.

В некоторых фильмах "на основе реальных событий" в последних кадрах рассказывают дальнейшую судьбу героев, и это смотрится интереснее всего фильма. Посмотрим и мы на события после одной фотографии времен вьетнамской войны. Весной этого года во вьетнамской прессе опять вспомнили о героине, но когда публикации перетекли в Рунет, большая часть информации была потеряна или искажена.
